All applicants applying for positions with Business and Entertainment Security Ltd must be in possession of the relevant licence as dictated from the Security Industry Authority (SIA): Manned Guarding - The use of this licence allows the individual to act as a deterrent by providing a physical presence, carrying out any form of patrol or surveillance or to discourage any criminal activity happening or to provide information, if it happens, about what has happened. Door Supervisor - The use of this licence allows the individual to be responsible for security protection, screening the suitability of people entering events and venues and dealing with conflict. Close Protection - The use of this licence allows the individual to guard one or more persons against assault or against injury that might be the result of the unlawful conduct of others. The majority of work provided by Business and Entertainment Security Ltd normally requires a 'Door Supervisor' licence. However, from time to time a 'Close Protection' licence is needed for some tasks; these licensed personnel have normally provided door supervisory services prior to be chosen for close protection duties. Further information on obtaining the relevant licence from the Security Industry Authority can be found at: |
